COEUR D’ALENE—Many are getting ready to head out of town this Memorial Day weekend, but campgrounds are filling up quick.
Last year, not only was it raining, but the flooding was so bad many people couldn’t camp.
At the Lake Coeur d’Alene Campground last year, 30 of their 40 tent sites were inundated with water. After a soggy start to spring, the owners report the weather is much better this year. They even opened early due to better weather.
They said while Memorial Day weekend means big business for them, the Ironman weekend is their biggest weekend.
They said plenty of cabins and tent sites are still open for anyone who wants to camp during Memorial Day.
