Tom Sherry forecasted a weak El Nino winter for the 2012, 2013 winter. 

A weak El Nino winter is expected to bring warmer temperatures and less than average snowfall from December to February.

During an average winter the Spokane area receives 46 inches. Tom Sherry forecasted the area should receive about 40 inches of snow this winter.

The first snow is expected to fall in mid-November, and the largest snow fall months should be December and January.

Overall you should expect above average temperatures and be below average snow.
