The countdown is on. Soak up the sunshine and warm, above-average temperatures Thursday and Friday as big changes are on the way. Daytime highs will be in the upper 60s, lower 70s under clear skies. Smoke will still be a problem for Wenatchee, Chelan, Pullman and Moscow the next few days.
Saturday, a weak system will pass through the region. Look for a chance of light showers but mainly mostly cloudy skies. Sunday evening, a stronger and windier system comes onshore. This will give us better bets at seeing widespread rain lingering into Monday. Winds will be gusty, near 25-30mph. Daytime highs cool off quite a bit next week - only making climbing to the mid to upper 50s.
Savor the sunshine...it may be awhile before we see this kind of weather again :) -DG
