SPOKANE, Wash. - Snow falling Sunday night through Monday morning will make travel difficult in some areas throughout the Inland Northwest on Christmas Eve.
The advisory is in effect until noon on Monday in the Spokane area, Coeur d'Alene region and Upper Columbia Basin. Interstate 90 from Spokane to Ritzville is expected to be dangerous for drivers.
The Idaho and Washington Palouse has a winter weather advisory in effect until noon on Monday. Drifting snow is expected with 10-20 mph winds on the way. One to three inches of snow should fall in this area.
The Northern Panhandle of Idaho, the Northeast Mountains of Washington and the Okanogan Highlands have a winter weather advisory until noon on Monday. One to four inches of snow is expected in this region.
A winter storm warning is in effect for the Central Panhandle Mountains of Idaho through 4 p.m. Monday. Four to six inches of snow could fall in the valley locations with up to eight inches in the mountains.
