Finally...it's going to start to feel a little more like fall around here! Savor the sunshine for one final day before the rains return to the region. Daytime highs Friday will be in the upper 60s and lower 70s. By the afternoon, winds will be breezy coming out of the southwest between 5-15mph with gusts near 25mph.
The parade of progressively stronger storms arrives late Friday night and Saturday. Look for light scattered showers but mainly mostly cloudy skies Saturday. Another round rolls in Saturday night into Sunday and the winds will start to kick up again. By Sunday night into Monday, the strongest system will bring widespread showers and gusty winds. We could see close to an inch of rain over this period. Cooler conditions continue for much of next week.
It looks like this will be the first measurable rainfall for many spots in two months. Don't forget to dust off the umbrella! -DG
