Grab the umbrellas and keep the rainboots handy. This upcoming week looks to be the wettest weather of the year so far. A series of storms are locked and loaded out in the Pacific and will be firing round after round of mainly rain to the region. It'll be wet and warm through Saturday with the Cascade crest and Idaho Panhandle seeing the majority of activity.
Look for showers mainly to the south Monday, but Spokane could see a few drops before a stronger wave crashes in Monday night. It'll bring more widespread showers to the area and really keep us soggy Tuesday.
Warmer temps will arrive with these storms, so daytime highs will soar to the mid-50°s for most of the week. Minor flooding could happen too as the heat melts the High Country snow. The stormy conditions could continue through the St. Patty's day, but it looks like the luck of the Irish will help dry us out by the following week.
10 days til it's officially SPRING! But who's counting anyway... -DG
