Light snowfall locally more in outlying areas

Light snowfall is expected through Friday with less than an inch accumulation in the Spokane area. A winter weather advisory for snow in excess of 3" is expected in northeastern Washington and  winter storm warning some areas of north Idaho with the silver valley predicted to get more than 6" of snow. And a wind advisory Friday for the Washington palouse with gusts to 50 mph expected.
