RATHDRUM, Idaho- - Authorities in two states and the FBI are still on the hunt for a man accused of shooting at a member of the Idaho State Police.
Mitchell Lee Walck’s crime spree began in Rathdrum with a high speed chase. He is accused of shooting at an ISP trooper and then kidnapping a local woman and stealing her car.
The kidnapping victim is safe and has returned to the Rathdrum area. Detectives said they have interviewed Smith, but have not released details of that interview.
Walck let Susan Smith go in Eastern Montana. He was last seen driving Smith’s 2005 Subaru Forester, silver in color with an Idaho license plate K230050.
Smith was not hurt.
The FBI is offering $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Walck.
