POST FALLS, Idaho - A store manager estimated 3,500 people lined up outside the Cabela’s store in Post Falls for Black Friday deals when the store opened at 5 a.m.
The line was a half mile long when the doors opened and the parking lot was jammed.
The first 600 customers through the doors received free gift cards to Cabela’s. All of the early risers were given a chance to win a free gun.
By 5:20 a.m. Friday 2,000 people had passed through the doors and the line was still wrapped around the building.
Cabela’s has only been open since 2008, but has quickly become one of the most popular spots to wait for Black Friday deals in the Inland Northwest.
