SPOKANE, Wash. -- Hundreds of Spokane’s youngest cross-country runners are competing at the biggest meet of the year.
A thousand students had to qualify to compete in ‘Active 4 Youth’ city race at Comstock Park Thursday.
Founders started the after-school program ‘Active 4 Youth’ five years ago to get their own children active.
“Our primary mission is to combat obesity so we want them to live a healthy and active lifestyle,” said founder, Mike Bresson.
Winners of each age division received new running gear.
