Wet and windy today!
Widespread morning showers start off our day across the Inland Northwest, with a little bit of a break for eastern Washington as the later morning hours roll on. The central panhandle and north Idaho should continue to see showers for the next few hours, then we're just looking at a chance of rain going into the afternoon. Overcast skies and some pretty good cloud cover will dominate your day as will wind speeds.
Between 5 and 5:30am our sustained winds went from about 3mph to 2mph in just 30 minutes. We'll continue to see sustained winds 15-25 (Gusts 35mph) all the way till 4pm or so.
The wet and rainy conditions we've seen this morning and that we'll continue to see should impact rises on local small streams with mud slides or landslides a possibility which has sparked a Flood Watch for areas around Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties from Monday night until Wednesday.
A Flood Advisory remains in affect near Moscow until 9:30am.
