Spokane – A lack of food isn't the problem for food banks in the Inland Northwest, it's actually money.

Many local farmers and food companies have been donating fresh food and produce to 2nd Harvest, but the agency says it's worried the food won't make it to a dinner table.

Second Harvest needs to raise $100,000 by the end of December to deliver the food to needy families. The organization is responsible for picking up donations, packaging them and bringing the food to hundreds of food banks in Eastern Washington and North Idaho.

Since it's seen a higher need in the last three years than it ever has, the organization says it's really important to get money donations in.
