Happy Friday!

A strong storm system arrives in the INW bringing rain and snow to the mountains and valleys today and Saturday.

Look for increasing chances of rain and snow as the day goes on. A small amount of accumulation is expected across Spokane up to possibly 1-2". Breezy winds will make temps. feel cooler with highs in the low 40s.

Tonight, rain or snow is possible as temps. drop to mid 30s. Windy temps will make it feel cooler. Up to 2" of snow possible overnight.

Saturday same story. Look for a mix of rain and or snow, gusty winds and a snow level right around 2,500'. Daytime highs in the upper 30s.

Moderate to heavy snow expected over the passes and in the mountains. If you're traveling this weekend. I advise getting those studded tires on!
