SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police arrested a man accused in a North Spokane shooting which sent one person to the hospital.
The shooting happened late Monday in the front yard of a home in North Spokane, near West Boone and Cochran. The 24-year-old victim was shot in the leg.
Police arrested Billy Jack Wessels, 26, in connection to the shooting just four hours later. He was found at a home on W. Sharp, less than three blocks from the shooting.
Police said it appears to be a domestic violence case. However, they said the relationship between the victim and suspect is not known.
Police said it has been a tough investigation because several people come forward with different information.
Doctors said the victim suffered a non-life threatening injuries. Wessels is charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Assault and one count of Felony Harassment.
