SPOKANE, Wash. -- A Spokane pet adoption center will fill a new space on Trent and Bradley.
Scraps will occupy an old Harley-Davidson dealership's 30,000 square foot building. Scraps said it plans to partner with Harley-Davidson during adoption events.
Construction will start up in September to accommodate more than 100 dogs and cats waiting for a home.
"This is incredibly exciting. We have outgrown our current facility many years ago and we're so excited about the new possibilities the new building will bring," said Nancy Hill, the director of Scraps.
Scraps could house 10,000 animals per year when it opens which is double what it can hold in its old location.
