SPOKANE, Wash. -- Dozens of calls, emails and Facebook comments rolled into the KREM 2 newsroom today about a suspicious light over the Inland Northwest sky Friday morning.
People say they saw the light around 6:20.
The consensus seems to be it appeared to be a green streak, with an audible impact to follow. Some saw it, some heard it and others experienced both.
“Yes. I saw it. It was green, seemed large and was heading toward Sherman Pass. I live north of Republic, Wash.,” Eilen wrote on our Facebook page.
The Spokane Astronomical Society suggests it was likely a meteorite, or even space junk.
If anyone was able to snap a picture, email it to pics@krem.com.
