POST FALLS, Idaho-- A suspect allegedly trying to steal the stereo from a vehicle in Post Falls fell asleep in the middle of the crime.

Police found Jason Hill, 33, in a parking lot in the 3800 block of East 2nd Avenue inside of the vehicle.

Officers found another stolen stereo in the car, along with burglary tools, wallets and a cell phone. Investigators determined several vehicles in the same parking lot were also broken into, and Hill was carrying some of the stolen items.

Hill already had a felony warrant in Washington State for attempting to elude police.

Hill was arrested and booked into Kootenai County Public Safety Building for Auto Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Controlled Substance and Fugitive from Justice.

Police located a separate stolen vehicle near the parking lot where they found Hill. Investigators are still trying to determine if Hill had anything to do with that vehicle.
