SPOKANE--Police are on the lookout for a man who attacked a woman with an axe and stole her purse.
It happened around 5:10 a.m., Sunday in the 2000 block of East 1st Street.
The man attacked the woman in an alley behind a house in the area. The suspect hit the victim in the mouth and arm with the axe, and then stole her purse. The woman’s injuries are considered non life-threatening.
A K9 Unit was brought in to try and track the subject but was unable to find him.
The suspect is described as a tall white male with black, baggy clothing.
