SPOKANE, Wash. -- People in the Logan Neighborhood held a service project to remember victims of the 9/11 attacks.
More than 700 volunteers helped clean alleys, streets and yards. The volunteers also helped some homeowners with small projects.
"It’s to help a neighborhood get support where they haven’t been able,” said organizer Jim Rippy, “either because of economics, or disability, or just the aging population of this neighborhood."
Volunteers were treated for their good deeds with ice cream floats in Mission Park.
