Deadly Salvation Army shooting video briefly posted on Facebook

SPOKANE, Wash. -- A resident of the Spokane Salvation Army allegedly caught a deadly officer-involved shooting between a fellow resident and Spokane Police on camera.

Daniel Jones, 40, was stopped by authorities in late August and allegedly began ramming marked police vehicles. Four SPD officers fired their guns at Jones and killed him.

Detectives said another man recorded the shooting posted it on his Facebook page where it was viewed at least five times. He deleted the video later because he feared it would get him into legal trouble according to authorities.

Detectives confirmed that they are now searching Facebook records to see if they can get the video. The video was also deleted from the man’s phone and authorities said they could not recover it.
