SPOKANE, Wash. -- People have begun turning to the Internet to find information about state run health insurance programs. Washington State has a site set up to give information about the options. But now an investigation is underway to discover which websites are legitimate and which are not.

Washington predicted that hundreds of thousands of people will soon turn to its website to enroll in health insurance. But it warned that a search engine might not be the best place to search for this information.

Some sites lead to webpages that seem completely official that ask for applications, name, phone number, and ever social security number, and yet are completely fake.

The real website users should use is called wahealthplanfinder.org. You can check it out here.
