Bundle up, layer up! We're waking up to much chillier temperatures across the Inland Northwest. Look for mostly cloudy skies and some patchy fog early on in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene. Snow is falling in the northern mountain areas; they could pick up between 2-5 inches. Possible flurries could arrive in the metro area by midday, but I'm not expecting any major accumulation. Daytime highs will only warm to the lower 30s.

Cold overnight lows and well below-average daytime highs stick around through the weekend and into early next week.

Crank up the heater, Old Man Winter returned and looks to stay for awhile! -DG
