SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- A boy suffered injuries when he fell from the play area at a Spokane Valley pizza place.

It happened Friday night at Savageland Pizza on South Disman Road.

Sources at the Spokane Valley Police Department say they responded around 8:30 p.m. after the boy fell through a net. Police did not take action, since this was determined to be a civil issue.

A parent of another child there witnessed the fall. He says there was a hole in the net, which hangs three levels above the hard ground.

There is no official word on the boy's condition, but witnesses say he was serioulsy hurt.

An owner of Savageland Pizza told KREM 2 she did not wish to comment on what happened but called this a devastating incident. She said her prayers are with him.
