Authorities end investigation into Spokane inmate’s death

SPOKANE, Wash.-- The Spokane Investigative Regional Response Team has finished their investigation on Friday into the death of a Spokane County Jail inmate. The inmate died February 24th.

Authorities said Christopher Parker, 33, called 911 saying he took meth and needed help. Yet, officers arrested Parker after medics cleared him because he had an arrest warrant. Parker later died while in custody.

Surveillance video from the morning of February 24th shows a visibly upset Parker as he was booked into the Spokane County Jail. Investigators said deputies restrained Parker in a chair, he died just a few minutes later.

The case has been forwarded to the Spokane County Prosecutor according investigators.
