SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a robbery early Thursday morning at Zip Trip on N. Mullan in Spokane Valley.

It happened at 12:45 a.m. Authorities said the Zip Trip employee was in the back office when she heard the door buzzer. The employee said when she walked out of the office there was a man holding a black handgun in his right hand.

The employee described the suspect a man in his 20s or 30s, wearing a black kerchief over his face and dark colored sunglasses. He was also wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front and a black pair of jogging pants.
