WEST, Texas -- At least 15 people are feared dead and around 160 injured following the massive explosion at a fertilizer plant in West, TX Wednesday evening.

First responders initially arrived on scene to battle a blaze when the devastating blast happened.

After the explosion, Crystal Ledane was able to grab her youngest child and run from her home.

"It just sucked you up and threw you down on the ground."  said Ledane.  "I have no windows, the door was blown down.  The shrubs in front of my house were blown sideways."

KENS 5 has learned Governor Rick Perry has scheduled a press briefing in Austin for 11:45 a.m. Thursday.
