COEUR D'ALENE -- Hundreds of athletes are preparing for the big Ironman competition.  But one athlete has a secret weapon.  One woman is using the love and experience of her husband to get through the race.

Loni and Gordon Harvey will celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary next week.  And for Loni a possible Ironman finish.  Gordon is sitting on the sidelines helping with the couple's children so his wife could train.

Loni's hard work all boils down to Sunday's start when she will dive into a chilly Lake Coeur d'Alene.  She was not able to do that last year because she didn't know how to swim.  She finally learned how to swim five months ago.

Together the high school sweethearts are going through final preparations for the 140-mile competition.

"She's in much better shape than me.  I need much more support than she does.  She's going to be great tomorrow," said Gordon.

And while the nerves settle and the anticipation grows, one thing is for sure, Loni's number one fan will be by her side.
