SPOKANE -- Hundreds of thousands of people have flooded into the Inland Northwest for the biggest sports weekend of the year. Hoopfest is already underway. Ironman kicks off Sunday.
This is Hoopfest's 21st year in downtown Spokane. It's the world's largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world.
Players say the sunny and warm temperatures is making for perfect conditions. According to organizers, the event is going smoothly with no major incidents.
But basketball isn't the only thing that is on the minds of the younger players. Some are using the event to check out the opposite sex. Because the temperature is climbing, the shirts come off revealing a lot of skin. Even though Hoopfest is a family event, the single crowd is using it to their advantage. One mother says her oldest son met his future wife a few years ago at Hoopfest.
