SPOKANE -- A Spokane Valley family's home has turned into a campground for Hoopfest weekend.
The Williamson family home will host about 60 people in tents this weekend on their front lawn, many of them family and several of them from Western Washington.
"Cause it's about camaraderie, getting together getting the kids together, that's much more fun than sitting in a hotel," says family camper John Armbruster.
When they're not playing basketball, the kids will be cooling off in the Williamson's pool.
In all, the family has 11 teams signed up for Hoopfest. Everyone chips in and there is enough food to feed everyone for three days.
This is the third year the Williamson's have hosted their family and friends -- they say it just kind of fell into place.
"Our house has always been the house people gravitate towards, and parties just happen," says Beth Williamson. "They were going to be here anyway, it just worked out great."
The adults say it works out to be the perfect summertime reunion.
