COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho -- Coeur d’Alene Police arrested a transient Thursday in connection to a stabbing that shut down E. Sherman Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities said Jayde Brown, 21, was booked into the Kootenai County Jail for attempted homicide. Detectives determined that the men had previous disputes over stolen property. The victim is also listed as homeless.
The owner of Jimmy’s Down the Street said a man walked into his restaurant with a serious stab wound to his chest. Authorities said the victim was rushed into surgery Wednesday and is in stable condition.
Police said Brown left the scene on a bicycle and spent the afternoon searching for him. The search put nearby schools into lock down. Authorities called it a precautionary measure.
