Tom Sherry flies in old biplane at Felts Field

SPOKANE, Wash. – KREM 2 Chief Meteorologist Tom Sherry had a chance to fly in a historic open cockpit Stearman biplane Tuesday afternoon.

His flight was part of the Spirit of Aviation tour this week that's coming to Spokane’s Felts Field.

You can pay for a ride in the Stearman biplane or a fully restored World War II B-17 bomber

Flights in the B-17 are $439 per person.  A ground tour is $5.  The airplanes will be available for tours and rides Wednesday-Saturday from Felts Field.

Also, Saturday is Felts Field Neighbor Days.  The airport is open to the public for free from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
