SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Investigators said someone burglarized a Sheriff's Office SCOPE station Wednesday night.

A corporal arrived to find windows broken out at the station on 115 N. Evergreen Road, and also noticed an office that is usually locked was open.   Authorities swept the building and discovered the thief or thieves had stolen a TV from a back room.

The thieves, however, left hundreds of dollars worth of electronics that were right next to the TV.

The Sheriff's Office uses its SCOPE locations for interaction with citizens, for deputies to write reports and for meetings.

"It just kind of shows the vulnerability that anywhere, any place can be violated," said one SCOPES volunteer.

Crime Stoppers was providing a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
