NEW YORK CITY-- Thousands of New Yorkers took the subway Sunday for an unusual ritual, the annual "No pants subway ride."
People braved the cold to ride the subway without their pants. Shanell Adora was one of those participants, she said. "I told my friends to come with me, and they said "(Are) you crazy? No, why would you do that, don't ride without pants," but I feel that it's liberating. We do the same thing as everyone else all the time, why not step out and do something different for once."
A New York City comedy club started the event in 2002. It has since gone worldwide.
