SPOKANE -- Spokane is home to the first woman to sign with a professional baseball team this century.
Tiffany Brooks is headed for spring training with the Big Bend Cowboys of Alpine, Texas in the Continental Baseball League.
Brooks has played softball in Europe and Australia, but has always wanted to play professional baseball, and dreamed of playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers when she was a kid.
While waiting for her professional career to start, Brooks has trained young Spokane players in both softball and baseball.
