WASHINGTON (AP) -- The filibuster blocking Senate confirmation of John Brennan as the new head of the CIA has ended, nearly 13 hours after it began. Senator Rand Paul began the filibuster Wednesday afternoon and ended it early Thursday. Paul wants President Barack Obama or Attorney General Eric Holder to issue a statement assuring that unmanned drones would not be used in the U.S. to kill terror suspects who are citizens.
