COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Coeur d'Alene city officials plan on closing a popular boat ramp for the summer as part of the renovations to McEuen Park.
Officials said the 3rd Street ramp closing is a temporary inconvenience and it must be done to finish the McEuen Park construction.
Boaters will have to use other boat launches like Higgins Point and Blackwell Island through out the summer.
Two men who work with boats say they rely on the ramp for the businesses and in June they will have to find another place to get their boats in the water.
Marine Technologist, Scott Dawes said, "This ramp is very important. It's one of the only good ramps that's open year round."
