Police identify suspect wanted for Hot Toddys robbery

SPOKANE, Wash.--Police identified and issued an arrest warrant Thursday for the man accused of holding up a coffee stand in North Spokane.

Andrew Carr, 27, faces charges for robbery, burglary and assault according to police.

Officers said Carr tried to rob Hot Toddys near Francis and Atlantic on June 10th.The suspect walked up to the window of the drive-through shop and ordered a coffee. Police said he then jumped through the window and pepper sprayed the woman in the face.  The man also reportedly showed a knife.

The employee said Carr attempted to steal cash but was unable to open the cash register.

Authorities said the man then took the barista's keys from on top of a microwave and drove away in her truck, according to officers on the scene.  A witness followed the man and helped police find the car abandoned near Division and Lyons.

The suspect got away with barista’s iPhone too according to police.
