The Chattaroy couple, who was married 68 years, was killed in a car accident in early October. They were found holding hands according to first responders. The crash happened on the Newport Highway in front of the Big R store.
Troopers said the couple pulled out in front of an oncoming pickup.
The couple’s family is asking for help to find homes for Floyd and Margaret Nordhagen’s pets. Their son said they treated all of their animals, even their cattle, like pets.

Marv Nordhagen needs to find homes for his parents’ 12 cats and two dogs.
“There's a lot of decisions that need to be made, and a lot that has to happen,” said Nordhagen.
Some of the cats are meant for the indoors and others live outside.
“Some are very, very shy. Like the one inside, I think she's very adoptable. But it will take a person with the right patience,” said Nordhagen.
One of the dogs that needs a home is a 6-year-old mixed breed. The other dog is a 9-year-old yellow lab.
“Everyday is a big adventure for them. They patrol the farm, and they're very bonded with each other,” said Nordhagen.
Nordhagen hopes a good family will take both dogs together. He wants them to stay together just like his parents.
Both of the dogs are already fixed and most of the cats already are too.
You can email Marv Nordhagen at Rom4five@gmail.com if you would like to adopt any of the animals.
