SPOKANE -- Single dad Shawn Schinzler and his neighbor Jessica Pollard joined thousands of others in line to pick up a free turkey dinner at Tom’s Turkey Drive Tuesday.
The neighbors said without programs like this one, they wouldn’t have a turkey for Thanksgiving.
During peak pick-up times, it took families about an hour to make their way through the Spokane Arena.
