COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho -- Members of the North Idaho College wrestling team just added more hardware to their trophy case.

The Cardinals won the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Championship for the 14th time.

The championship tournament took place in Des Moines, Iowa over the weekend.

NIC faced off against 45 teams from across the country and tied for the title with a team from Kansas.

It is the fourth championship title under head coach Pat Whitcombs. The last time the school won was in 2003.
