Happy 4th of July weekend! Scattered showers will start to subside overnight making way for a dry and slightly warmer Saturday. Temperatures will still stay below average, with a daytime high around 71 degrees under partly sunny skies. A few isolated mountain showers may develop by Saturday afternoon across Northeastern Washington and into the Northern Idaho Panhandle but they won't stay around for long.

Sunday, much of the Inland Northwest will see a mix of sun and clouds with high temperatures in the mid-70s. It'll be a bit breezy with wind gusts up to 25mph. A weak system brushes by the northern fringe of the area near the Canadian border, so you may see a light rain shower in the afternoon. It looks like the firework shows should be spectacular under partly cloudy skies!

Get ready for a major warm-up! Temperatures will skyrocket by the middle of next week, some days may reach into the lower 90s under lots of sunshine.
