SPOKANE -- A Spokane man is charged in North Idaho with having sexual contact with a minor -- a charge that subsequently shut down his wife's daycare business on Spokane's South Hill.

Adam Cary Ross is charged with Lewd Conduct with a minor in Post Falls. Detectives say he was arrested April 7, and has bonded out of the Kootenai County Jail.

According to Post Falls detectives, Adam Ross is the lead singer of a band, Blynde Spot, that practices at the home of the band's drummer in Post Falls, Idaho.

Detectives say the lewd conduct was between Ross and the drummer's 15-year-old daughter. Detectives believe the behavior has been going on since December, 2008.

Ross is married to Colleen Ross, the owner of "Your a Good Kid" daycare on Spokane's South Hill.

The Washington Department of Early Learning ordered the closure of "Your a Good Kid" Monday, after they received a complaint on of Child Abuse and Negligent Treatment or Maltreatment.

The daycare has been on probation since October, 2009 for various minor violations. The business is licensed to care for up to 12 children, aged newborn to 12-years-old.

Colleen Ross has 28 days to file an appeal with the DEL.

*Editor's note: The spelling of "Your a Good Kid" is how Ross's business license is filed. KREM 2 News chose to keep the spelling the same as the business license, despite being grammatically incorrect.*
