SPOKANE, Wash.--Fire crews said someone intentionally started a house fire in North Spokane Sunday night. It happened near Barnes and Whitehouse.
Firefighters responded to the scene when a man called 911. He said his friend was suicidal and had started his own house on fire.

Crews quickly arrived but said there was a constant threat to firefighters. The homeowner was known to have weapons and was nowhere to be found.
Witnesses said they heard gunshots at the scene which may have been ammunition exploding.
Authorities are currently searching for the homeowner. They said there were at least five intentional fire starts inside the home.
