MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) -- A judge has agreed to delay until next year the trial of a Moscow man accused in the slaying of his wife three years ago.

The trial for Charles Capone was expected to begin in early December. But Latah County Attorney Bill Thompson requested pushing it back due to the significant amount of evidence in the case.

Other media outlets report Thompson is still acquiring evidence, and key elements, including DNA and blood samples, are still being analyzed in federal government labs impacted by the partial shutdown.
