SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police are investigating a possible child luring at Jefferson Elementary on South Hill Thursday morning.

Police said a first grade boy was standing in line to go into the school when a man approached and asked the boy to come with him. The boy ran to his mother who had been waiting in a car nearby.

Spokane Police said they searched the area but could not find a man matching the description.

The man in question was described as white, tall, and thin with gray hair and a gray beard.

Anybody with information is asked to call crime check. The school district is increasing security at Jefferson and surrounding schools in the meantime.
