HAYDEN, Idaho-- The Northern Lakes Fire Department in Hayden is raffling off one of its old fire trucks.

The 1972 Chevy brush truck could be yours if you buy the lucky raffle ticket.

Captain Kevin Crowffoot with Northern Lakes Fire and Rescue is helping run the raffle. His department is getting rid of the truck because it's passed its legal service life and they'd only get about $7,500 as a trade in.

The department is raffling off the truck to raise some cash. Each raffle ticket costs $5 and you can grab them at either of the department's stations in Hayden and Rathdrum.

The money will be used to help firefighters save lives.

The lucky winner gets the truck and all the attached equipment.

The winner will be announced in September.
