PULLMAN, Wash. -- A new service along the Palouse is offering college students another transportation option.

Two Washington State University alumni launched the College Cab program this week. The business offers taxi ride to current students. The standard rate is $5 for a trip.

College Cab operators said that their biggest challenge was getting the taxis from Seattle to the Palouse.

“Getting through the licensing, getting insurance, being younger drivers. Starting a new company, it was really challenging to find an insurance company that would actually cover a younger operation," said owner Robert Borden.

College Cab created 25 new jobs too.
