Local soldier killed in action buried with full military honors

SPOKANE -- Flags across Washington State flew at half-staff Monday to honor a local soldier killed in action.

PFC Jarrod Lallier was killed June 18th in Afghanistan when three men dressed in Afghan police uniforms fired on Lallier’s unit.

Lallier graduated from Mead High School two years ago.

Lallier was buried at Fairmount Memorial Park with full military honors.

Friends and family tell us Lallier will be sorely missed

Before Lallier died he wrote a letter to his family in the event he lost his life in combat. Family friend Kevin Blocker said, “He was very clear to let people know that don't mourn for me that this was something he felt a calling for.”

Lallier is survived by his mother, father, brother and sister.
