The two families competing in KREM 2’s United Health Services Credit Union Financial Health Challenge have come a long way to becoming financially fit and they’re getting pretty creative in the process.
Wendy Neeham has gone so far as to start making her own soap for her dishwasher. It saves a few dollars a month compared to buying soap and she loves the way it works.
She whipped up a batch for KREM 2 News in about 20 seconds. Her recipe, a half cup borax, a half cup of washing soda, and one packet lemonade Kool-Aid.
Wendy is saving even more money by making her own laundry soap as well.
