Boy a chilly start across the Inland Northwest today! 20s and 30s for areas in NE Washington and North Idaho. Spokane and Coeur d'Alene looking at morning temps. in the mid to upper 30s! We're looking mostly dry today with the exception of the few scattered light showers see saw overnight in Bonners Ferry.

Today, our temperatures drop even further! Low 60, even some upper 50s expected for highs this afternoon. A few scattered morning clouds are expected to burn off to a mostly sunny afternoon.

An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Chelan and Douglas counties for smoke from area wildfires. This alert, issued by the Washington Dept. of Ecology is in effect until noon Thursday. There is also a mandatory outdoor burn ban until October 7th.

Our highs continue to drop to the low 60s through the next couple of days.
